We Need to Cooperate With God

 I was praying the Lord's Prayer yesterday while on my morning walk when I had a thought that I never had before. To some it may be what I call a "Duhism." You know when you think something or share a thought with someone else and you think or they say, "Duh?! Everybody knows that!" It has to do with the part of the prayer: Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done ON EARTH, as it is in Heaven. Why does God not force His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven? He could, but that would take away our free will, and God granted us free will. Which means that, if God's will is to be done on earth as it is in Heaven, we have to cooperate. We get to choose whether or not God's will is done on earth as it is in Heaven. That leads to many more thoughts, but I'll stop there.

Joe Biden recently pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, after he made comments such as "Nobody is above the law" and promised several times that he would not pardon his son. This led me to post on Facebook a photo of Joe Biden with the words "Nobody is above the law. (Except Hunter and my family). Nobody else is above the law." Besides being a liar, Joe Biden believes that he is above the laws of the government.

Then there's Nancy Pelosi who claims to be Catholic. The Catholic Church forbids abortion and the support of abortion. Nancy Pelosi claims to be Catholic but publicly supports abortion. This is against the "law" of her own Church. The bishop of the diocese where she resides, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, stated, “A Catholic legislator who supports procured abortion, after knowing the teaching of the Church, commits a manifestly grave sin which is a cause of most serious scandal to others." A person who is guilty of grave sin should not receive Communion in the Catholic Church. 

Just like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi believes she is above the law. And, not just government law, but God's law.
